Timberview Adventures

Timberview Adventures is your gateway to unforgettable off-road experiences in the heart of Northern New York. Located at Timberview Resort in Turin, NY — just 80 miles from Syracuse — we offer direct access to the renowned Lewis County Snowmobile Trail System on the east end of the Tug Hill Plateau.

Established in 1989, Timberview Resort is a true full-service destination featuring comfortable lodging, a restaurant, and a convenience store with gas — everything you need before and after your ride. Whether you’re planning a weekend getaway or a full adventure vacation, Timberview provides the perfect basecamp for exploring miles of scenic winter trails.

From our elevated location, riders enjoy spectacular winter time views of the Black River Valley and the six-million-acre Adirondack Park. It’s an off-road experience unlike anywhere else in New York State — combining wide-open vistas, wooded trails, and fresh mountain air.

For over 35 years, the Timberview team has been serving outdoor enthusiasts year-round, welcoming snowmobilers and off-road riders from across the Northeast. Most of our staff are avid riders themselves, bringing firsthand knowledge and enthusiasm to every adventure. Before you head out, we make sure you’re fully oriented and comfortable on your Polaris snowmobile — even if it’s your first time.

Looking for the best overlooks? Hidden scenic stops? Ideal photo opportunities? We’ve got you covered. Our team is always happy to share insider tips, suggested itineraries, and must-see destinations along the Tug Hill snowmobile trail system.
